The principals of Flying Cardboard share a common vision; our entire Design Corps shares this vision. "Do something meaningful!" Sure we like to make money just like any other successful business, but we care even more about making a difference.

One-way we make a difference, by agreeing not to build an edifice to ourselves. This is often the mark of a powerful and successful company, big beautiful building filled with a young professional staff. This is also why many companies fail and why fees are so high.

We have taken a different approach. Flying Cardboard helps to support myxMedia, a charitable organization that provides scholarships, paid internships, and grants to students studying in the commercial arts. myxMedia hosts a 3,000 square foot gallery and design center that is also available for seminars, parties, and special events. Alicia Martinez, Chief Executive Officer/President

Alicia is an uber-geek. She is a designer, a developer, and an engineer that not only understands how things work, but how to make them work better. Alicia’s achievements include: designing award winning web sites, creating highly efficient and user friendly interactive media, and owning a successful Santa Fe gallery. She has also worked in the television, newspaper and multi-media industries. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, she has been immersed in the arts from day one. Alicia originally founded Flying Cardboard in the Pacific Northwest in 2002. She has now joined forces with the most amazing and talented partners, forming a notable organization.

Peter Halifax, Chief Marketing Officer

An Emmy award-winning art director, graphic designer, and educator Peter has amassed many milestones. He has worked in the advertising, television, newspaper, and music industries. As a professional singer and songwriter, his song, “Shine On Me” was awarded second place nationwide at the Billboard Magazine International Music Awards. Peter, originally from England, also speaks fluent Ukrainian. His client-base is worldwide.

Doug is an amazing fine and digital artist, photographer, multiple broadcast award winner, author, and receiver of accolades that he cannot even remember. His diverse background includes new media, puppetry, television, publication, print, public speaking, and much more. On many occasions he has single-handedly taken a concept to inception. Here at Flying Cardboard, Doug is the glue that keeps us all connected.
